Many people like to ask the question: Which is more difficult, waterskiing or surfing? If you have tried both, then the answer is obvious. Surfing is much harder. Don’t get the wrong idea. Waterskiing isn’t easy. It’s just easier. With waterskiing, you will fall flat on your face a few times before getting the hang of it, but once you figure out how to get up and the weight distribution, you’re never going to forget it. You’re also being assisted by a motor-powered boat and you’re on a flat surface. You can jump the wake, but that’s optional.

Catching waves in surfing isn’t optional. If you’re not catching waves, you’re not surfing. In order to surf, you first need to learn how to stand on a big board. After you figure out how to stand, you then need to learn how to stand while moving. Following that, you must learn how to adjust to unpredictable waves. You will wipeout many times during this process.

Overall, it takes the average person one to two days to learn how to waterski and three to four weeks to learn how to surf. That in itself gives you the answer. Surfing is harder, but it’s also more rewarding.

It is both peaceful and exciting. The main problem with surfing is finding a great spot to surf. The waves have to be right and so does the weather. Bali, Indonesia
6. Santa Catarina, Brazil
7. Samoa
8. California
9. Mentawai Islands, Indonesia
10. Maui, Hawaii
If you are a true surfer you have to visit these spots. Not only is the surfing great but so is the scenery. All of these places should be visited at least once. Not only can you get an inside look into the local surfing community but you can get to the culture of the location you are in. Wherever you can find some great surf you can also find great food and spend some time on a beautiful beach. Just make sure that you stay safe. There is so fun surfing if you can not handle the waves.

Water sports have become a popular form of recreation in the United States and around the globe. Millions of people enjoy spending their leisure time on, in, or even under the water! Let’s take a look at some of today’s best and most popular water sports.

Swimming is probably the best-loved and most well-known water sport. The popularity of Michael Phelps’ amazing eight gold medal run in the 2008 Summer Olympics helped make swimming even more popular. Swimming is great for beginning athletes since it does not require special equipment or advanced skills. It is a fabulous way to escape the heat and get some great exercise at the same time.

If swimming is a little too tame for your tastes, surfing is great for adrenaline junkies! Waterskiing and body boarding are other great options for those who enjoy a fast-paced water experience. With a little practice, you can be riding the waves and enjoying beautiful oceans and beaches.

Boating is a large category of water sports. It includes kayaking, canoeing, rafting, and sailing, among other water sports. If you do not want to make a large financial investment, purchase a beginning kayak or canoe. These boats are easy to use and provide a great upper-body workout.

With the numerous water sport options available, you are sure to find something to meet your recreation and exercise needs.
